The COVID-19 virus is screwing up a number of things around world including the release of new cameras including the Nikon D6 which is to be released in time for the Tokyo Olympics.
In a short announcement on its website, Nikon USA says the D6 has been delayed ‘As a result of delays in the procurement of parts and components from a third-party cooperating company due to measures implemented in response to the spread of COVID-19.’
Nikon says the new release timeframe is May 2020 which will still get in in time for the games IF the Olympics actually go ahead from the 24th July through to August 9th
However, as coronavirus cases and mortalities ramp up around the world, the likelihood of the Olympics being delayed or downright canceled increases as well.
